Mexico • States
Mexico
32 places: all 31 states and Mexico City, the capital. The big ones are in the north, and the small ones crowd round the capital.
The North
Wide states across the north, six of them on the US border, and the long Baja California peninsula, split into two states.
The Middle
13 states from the Pacific coast inland to Puebla, most of them small. Mexico City is nearly surrounded by the State of Mexico, and Tlaxcala, the smallest state, is just to the east.
The South
From Guerrero and Oaxaca on the Pacific round to the Yucatán Peninsula, which three states share: Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.
Where You'll Start
You'll start with the anchors, the corners and the capital: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo. Then chapter by chapter, or the whole deck at random.
