World • Seas
The oceans and the best-known seas, gulfs, and straits round them. A sea that opens from an ocean counts as part of it, so a tap in the Caribbean counts for the Atlantic; an enclosed sea, as the Mediterranean is, does not. The Southern Ocean is everything south of 60°S.
